Motorcycle Investor mag Subscribe to our free email news Desmosedici up for auction (October 2020) The upcoming Shannons auction in Australia is featuring a Ducati Desmosedici among a group of over 30 motorcycles.
Here is the auctioneer's description: "Build number 0606 of 1500, the original warranty certificate confirms this limited production and highly desirable Desmosedici RR was sold to its first owner in South Perth, West Australia, through Causeway Ducati in February 2008.
"The service book is stamped correctly through to 2016, by which time the bike had moved to Sydney, confirming the current odometer reading of 3420km is correct.
"Forming part of a private collection of rare Ducati motorbikes for the last few years, the Desmosedici RR comes with the stock exhaust, full books, both original keys, spare windscreen, battery trickle charger, workshop manual on CD and data analyzer, plus the OEM paddock stand and fitted cover."
The bike is listed with an estimate of Au$65-75,000 (US$47-54,000, GB£36-41,600).
According to local Ducati expert Ian Falloon, the market for these bottomed out in 2019 and they're now starting to see solid interest on the international collector market.
